I am married to Donald Hudec who is retired from the US Marine Corps after twenty years. I have a son Greyson who is 22 years old. My home state is North Carolina and I grew up on the coast, which gave me a huge love for the ocean. We have two adorable dogs Rexie and Heidi and a cat named Sami.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Go Tar Heels!

I have been teaching at Dillon Christian School since 2003. This year I am going from full time to part time teaching. This will give me a little more time for my second “fun” job ~ interior decorating. Prior to teaching I was a social worker for 15 years in Protective Services for Children, Foster Care Licensing, and Protective Services for Adults. I was raised in the Baptist church but have attended many different denominations while moving about North and South Carolina.

“Favorites”

*Bible verse : Psalms 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them,

that those who love your name will rejoice in you.

*Relaxing moments : prayer, a great book, a nap, time with my husband and family, the beach, my pets, time with great girlfriends

•  Greatest blessings : the birth of my child, surviving cancer for 25 years, finding my husband

•  Saddest moments : the death of my father, the drowning of my 2 cousins, and 9/11

Classroom Expectations

All classroom rules and expectations are posted in my room and a copy is given to each student on the first day of school along with a school supply list. The most important start of your child's class time with me is to be on time, prepared with ALL materials, (pencils, papers, books) and have homework assignments. I encourage students to have a planner for them to write down their assignments. This is particularly critical for 7 th and 8th graders who are adjusting to many new teachers. I will be posting major assignments on RENWEB as well as your child's grades. Check it out!

*Special Occasions and Requests

Please let me know if there is a special occasion coming up for your child, a particularly sensitive issue or family situation, or a celebration. I am open to all parental involvement! If you have a special talent, experience or request for a field trip please contact me and we'll try very hard to work it out. I am looking forward to a blessed year!
