Nancy Flynn McCormac Sanders

I was the first of four children born to Erna and Elias Alford McCormac in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I had a wonderful childhood with my brother and sisters growing up on the beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay.
Our family started attending Westminster Presbyterian Church when I was young. I learned about Jesus and how he paid the price for my sins by dying on the cross for me. When I was twelve, I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.
I graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in Ft. Walton Beach and was able to attended Florida State University on a cross-country scholarship. After a semester of school, I decided to major in PE and get my second teaching field in mathematics. Upon graduation, I started teaching math at Dillon High School and coaching cross-country and track.
In 1983 I married Gary Sanders and several years later had 2 children, Gary Tod and Kelly. Both children attended and graduated from Dillon Christian School. Gary Tod has also graduated from Francis Marion University and is engaged to be married to Brittany Gulledge in May of 2011. Kelly is in her 3 rd year at Clemson in Animal and Veterinary Science.
After teaching at Dillon HS for 6 years, I then was a self-employed artist for a few years, worked at Sanders' Custom Frames for several years, taught one year at JVM, and 15 years at DCS in various areas like art, PE, and math. This year I am teaching Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
I feel like God has prepared me and led me to where He wants me to be. His Holy Spirit is at work in me making me what He wants me to be. (the sanctifying process) One of my favorite verses is the verse we have used in track and cross-country: “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus….” Hebrews 12: 1-2
