Mrs. Donna McMillan

Hello everyone!!!! I am so thankful to be a part of the Dillon Christian School family. I would like to formally introduce myself and tell you how excited I am to be teaching second grade here. My name is Donna Denton McMillan and I was born and raised in Mullins where I still reside today. I attend Macedonia United Methodist Church and have been a member there since I was a small child. My grandmother was a major factor in my upbringing as my mother and father worked very long hours in their restaurant. She was instrumental in teaching me about the Bible and what it meant to be a Christian.

I attended Pee Dee Academy and Mullins High School and I received my Bachelor of Science degree in education from Francis Marion University. I married shortly after graduation and I have been blessed with two children. I taught school at Easterling Primary in Marion for 20 years and have been teaching at North Mullins Primary for the last ten years.

It is my goal to use the knowledge I have gained over the years to help your child succeed not only in academics, but spiritually and socially as well. Each child learns differently and it is my desire to help them reach his or her fullest potential and feel confident in the process. Below I have listed our classroom rules. If you would have your child read the rules to you and discuss it, it will help to reinforce what we have been over in class.

•  Listen carefully.

•  Follow directions.

•  Raise your hand before……

•  Work quietly.

•  Respect others.

•  Be kind.

•  Be responsible.

Again, thank you for sharing your child with me this year and please allow me to share my favorite scripture with you. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
