Mrs. Dianne Cullum
Welcome to third grade at DCS!
I am really excited about this new year. I already know quite a few of you. I look forward to renewing old acquaintances with some of you and getting to know new families. I want to tell you a little about myself.
I am beginning my 16th year at DCS. My husband, Dickie Cullum, is the pastor of First Baptist Church here in Dillon. We have two wonderful children. Matt is almost 30 and he lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife, Tamara, and their almost four year old daughter, Lorelei. Matt is a chiropractor and his office is located in the Carolina Forest shopping center. Tamara is a nutritionist and she works with Matt. Our daughter, Allison, will soon be 28 and she is married to Robbie Foreman. They have recently moved to Moncks Corner, SC. They have a beautiful little 18 month old daughter named Marlee. Robbie is the youth pastor and contemporary worship leader at First Baptist in Moncks Corner. Allison taught school for six years. The Lord is leading her in a different direction this year. She will spend more time with Marlee and work part-time as the children's minister in their church. I love talking about my family and I am very proud of all of them.
I graduated from Winthrop College in December of 1974 with a degree in Physical Education and Health. I taught in public schools in SC and NC for almost six years. We started at our first church in 1980 and Matt was born very soon after. Two years later Allison came along. I remained a stay at home mom and worked part-time as a preschool teacher for 5 years before we moved to Dillon. These years at DCS have been such a blessing in my life. The Lord has blessed this school beyond all expectations.
I know that this year will be no exception. I count it a true honor and privilege to teach your child this year. I do need your help and support. Teaching is a joint effort. You are your child's most important teacher and I am so glad we can partner together for the next 9 months to make this the best year ever for you and your child. Please keep the lines of communication open and let me know of any concerns you may have. I will be happy to talk to you after the school day has ended. You may reach me here at school by calling the office and a message will be relayed to me. I will return your call as soon as possible.
Thank you for entrusting your child to all of us here at DCS. I promise to do my best every day to help your child to be successful.
